About the Bundaberg Art Prize
With an overall Prize Pool of $25,000, and a $10,000 First Prize the Bundaberg Art Prize is one of Regional Queensland's Premier Art Awards.
The Prize is open to artists based in Australia with no restrictions on theme or media, encompassing Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Photography, Digital Media, Textiles, and 3D works.
Meet Our Judge
Gina Fairley’s 35-year career spans exhibition management, curatorial practice and arts and craft journalism. She has curated exhibitions and delivered lectures in Asia, America and Australia, and has worked for the Biennale of Sydney, Opera Australia and as Director of Haines Gallery, San Francisco (US). For a decade she was the Regional Contributing Editor of Asian Art News and World Sculpture News [Hong Kong] and held the Editorial Desk for the Philippines at ArtAsiaPacific. She was National Visual Arts Editor for ArtsHub (Australia and UK) for 12-years, now freelancing for several mastheads. In 2026, she will lead an International Study Tour to Mexico for the Art Gallery of NSW.
