1. THE ENTRY MUST BE THE ORIGINAL WORK OF THE ARTIST

All entries must be the unaided work of entrant (or entrants if artwork submitted as a colaboration)
​
2. ALL ENTRIES ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THE OVERALL FIRST PIRZE

3. THE ARTIST MAY ENTER A MAXIMUM OF TWO PIECES OF WORK IN TO EACH CATEGORY
​
4. ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED ON-LINE BY MIDNIGHT SUNDAY 10th AUGUST 2025

Entry fees are Non Refundable, except in the case the event is cancelled.

NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

5. STATEMENT ABOUT THE WORK
-
An optional statement about each work may be subbmited by the artist. – maximum 400 characters.

Statements must be submitted at the time of entry
​
6. ENTRY FEES
-
$30 PER ARTWORK $20 for Young Emerging Artist - (see 8 below for definition)

Entry fees to be submitted with the On-Line Application
7. GENERAL
-
Up to two pieces of work may be entered in each section.
-
All works must comply with Section descriptions.
-
Artworks not to exceed 160 cm in any direction
-
Artworks must be able to be safely carried by two people with a Maximum weight of 15kg (2D works) and 30kg (3Dworks)
-
All work must have been completed in the 18 months prior to the closing date
-
No works to have won a first prize at any exhibition
-
No explicit material.
-
Multi panel pieces are accepted within size constraints.
-
Links to video works should be submitted at the time of entry or by other means by prior arrangement.

If the artwork requires special display instructions, please submit them with your entry.

Requirements such as TV Screens or Monitors etc. should be discussed with the organisers when submitting your entry.

Sponsorship of $1,000 or less by a family member or business will not preclude an artist from entering and winning a prize.
8. YOUNG EMERGING ARTIST
-
The Young Emerging Artist Award is open to artists aged under 26 on 31st December 2025
-
Artists who hold an ABN for art purposes are ineligible for the Emerging Artist Award
-
The artwork must be sole work of the entrant and must not be part a collaborative school project.

9. SALES
-
All works must be for sale, with the ‘artist price’ nominated on the entry form.

The artist price is the amount the artist will receive from the sale
-
A commission of 25% will be added to the ‘artist price’ to calculate the ‘sale price’
-
The sale price is deemed to include GST
-
Payment for sales will be paid to the artist at the end of the exhibition, with artists responsible for the payment of GST on the Artist Price (if applicable)
-
The Bundaberg Art Prize(ABN 90 281 981 382) is not registered for GST
10. IDENTIFICATION
-
All artworks must be clearly marked on the rear or attached to 3D works with the competitor’s name, phone number, email address, title of work, and section.

11. CONDITION OF WORK
-
All paintings, prints, photographs, and other hanging works must be dry, suitably and safely framed
-
Hanging arttworks should be fitted with D-hooks 10cm form the top or 5cm for small artworks​

Artworks which are NOT dry or not framed correctly or fitted with D Hooks will be rejected on entry​
-
Paintings on stretcher frames will be accepted as framed on the condition that the staples are at the back.
-
Reasonable care will be taken in handling artwork however the Bundaberg Art Prize Inc. will not be responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever caused to any work while in its custody.

12. PUBLICITY
-
Artists will allow their work to be photographed without fee during the exhibition and the Bundaberg Art Prize reserves the right to reproduce entries for publicity (not limited to, print media, television, online, social media, catalogues) in association with the awards, now and in the future.

Vistiting public will be allowed to photograph the exhibition and may use those photographs on their social media

13. INSURANCE
-
Entrants are responsible for their own insurance.
-
The Bundaberg Art Prize accepts no responsibility for damage or loss, either during installation, while on display or while in transit.
​
14. DECISIONS
-
The judge’s decision is final. The Bundaberg Art Prize will not enter into discussion or correspondence regarding a decision.
-
The Bundaberg Art Prize reserves the right to reject any work submitted, with reasons to be submitted in writing on request.
-
All artworks will be viewed by the judge, but due to space limitations, not all artworks may be displayed.

15 DELIVERY & COLLECTION

DELIVERY
-
Delivery of Artworks will be on Sunday 17th August between 9.30am and 3.00pm
-
Artworks to be delivered to the Main Pavilion at theBundaberg Recreational Precinct
-
Artworks being delivered by courier or post should be sent to Art Plus,15a Electra Street, Bundaberg, QLD, 4670 and arrive by Friday 15th August
COLLECTION​
-
Artworks are to be collected between the hours of 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm Sunday, 31st August
-
If a person other than yourself is collecting your work record their name and contact details on entry form.
-
RETURN FREIGHT Entrants are responsible for return of their own work.
-
All freight costs shall be paid by the entrant. Please contact the organisers to arrange.
-
Courier/Post Entries to be collected from ART PLUS, 15a Electra Street, Bundaberg,QLD from Monday 8th September 2025 and not before.

No works shall be removed during or before the closure of the exhibition​​
​
FAILURE TO COLLECT:
-
Bundaberg Art Festival Prize has no responsibility to hold works that have not been collected at the appointed time unless prior arrangements have been made with the President. All uncollected works become the property of the Bundaberg Art Prize Association and will be disposed of as the Association sees fit.​
